Emotions
We all go through emotional problems at sometime in our lives, its learning how to deal with the emotional crisis when it arises. Our parents brought us up to the best of their abilities but that isn’t always the way that we ourselves would have liked to have been brought up, or maybe there was a lot of hardship around at the time of your childhood. The inner child often runs the show even in adulthood, these situations are called ‘holds in time’ they are times when a very strong emotion or thought cannot be let go of and so is therefore held onto in the subconscious. That doesn’t mean to say that we are thinking of the situation all the time but it does mean that when something is triggered it is as if an old wound is always opening up and doesn’t want to go away.Recognizing these situations is half way to healing because once you see the reason something is the way it is and why, then you can deal with it, but up until that point there is very little you can do about it because you may be in denial, or some other reason blinds you from seeing what is really happening. Inner child work in hypnotherapy is very important as it puts the child in a safe place with you as the grown up part of you able to talk to your inner child and that changes the thoughts that were being thought at the time therefore relaxing the mind and body.
