Depression

Depression is a very nasty thing to suffer from. Friends and relatives will tell you to ‘snap out of it’, that’s the last thing you want to hear, it’s not something that you can ‘snap out of’ and it’s certainly not something you would inflict upon yourself deliberately. It usually manifests because there is a very unhappy situation around you, maybe the relationship you are in isn’t all it was cracked up to be but you don’t know how to get out of it because of lack of confidence, or, as there are children involved you feel it’s not fair on them to end it as you fear you wouldn’t be able to look after them on your own. The answer is to feel the fear and do it anyway it’s amazing what happens when you take that first big step out into the outside world, the Universe has a way of finding a solution to the problem, that well known saying ‘ask and the door will be opened, seek and you will find’ is perfectly true, but you do have to ask, don’t expect things to fall into your lap because they won’t you have to put the effort in from your side first for things to actually happen, and when you are depressed it feels like an uphill struggle.

There are many, many reasons why we feel depressed it can be through lack of love, thinking that nobody cares or loves us. The well meaning partner actually saps your confidence and leaves you feeling drained and utterly useless; when you do eventually get out of the relationship you are totally amazed when people actually listen to you because you weren’t listened to before. Hypnotherapy or colour and light therapy or both help to get you onto your rightful path again by instilling positive affirmations and wonderful pictures of peace in your mind and colour is also so important as at times when we are depressed we tend to wear drab clothes and not the bright colours that will help to cheer us up.

We are all made up of colours, the colours of the rainbow are very important to us as the chakras’ of our body relates to the colours of the rainbow, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet and Magenta. There are other colours but these are the main ones that are used in Colour Therapy, click here Colour Therapy link.

Another reason for depression is having lost a loved one and you’re feeling that you can’t carry on as your loved one dealt with all the bills and sorted out all the problems that arose around the house, this is then a lack of confidence and self esteem and of course the loss itself. This again can be dealt with by having hypnotherapy.
